She then went on to work at KTVK-3TV in Phoenix, Ariz., where she was a weekend meteorologist and special assignment reporter. Prior to returning to NBC10, Brittney started her career as a morning weekday weather reporter/features reporter at KYMA-TV in Yuma, Arizona. ![]() She has shared her book with over 35,000 students, including international audiences in Cuba and Australia. Having combined her passion for children’s education and meteorology, Brittney wrote and published the children’s book, The Meteorologist in Me. She has also earned a Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. Conversely, her second is the second snowiest winter ever recorded during the winter of 2014, tracking almost 68 inches of snowfall at Philadelphia International Airport.Ī five-time Emmy®-nominated and Emmy award-winning journalist, Brittney earned a bachelor’s degree in International Development Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. The most memorable weather event that Brittney covered was the severe tornado outbreaks of Summer 2021. She started her broadcast career at KOAA News5 in Colorado Springs, where she worked as a morning reporter covering everything from blizzards to breaking news.
